Which Harry Potter character reflects the way you make choices?
Do you step forward like a protective challenger, prepare a plan, or notice something the group has missed? This Harry Potter character quiz uses 56 original statements to explore seven character-inspired patterns through friendships, shared tasks, setbacks, and everyday decisions.
The quiz and basic information are free. Allow about 10–14 minutes. After completing it, you can choose an optional paid detailed analysis with your leading portrait, close alternatives, seven individual scores, and explanations of how the patterns combine.
Seven portraits, more than one way to fit
A favorite character is not necessarily your closest match. Answer about what you tend to do, rather than the result you want. Each portrait highlights selected story themes; no character is a complete description of a person.
- Harry Potter — The protective challenger: Acting for fairness and protecting others, even when a comfortable option is available.
- Hermione Granger — The prepared problem-solver: Learning, evidence, and planning as ways to make a difficult situation manageable.
- Ron Weasley — The loyal team companion: Showing up for your people and helping a group feel like a team.
- Luna Lovegood — The independent observer: Keeping an original perspective while making room for people who do not fit the usual mold.
- Neville Longbottom — The steady grower: Building confidence through persistence and doing what matters before feeling fully ready.
- Ginny Weasley — The confident self-starter: Speaking directly, taking initiative, and keeping your own preferences visible.
- Draco Malfoy — The status-aware strategist: Attention to reputation, competition, alliances, and how your choices appear to others.

How to answer
Answer about how you usually approach friendships, group projects, decisions, and new challenges. Think about ordinary recent situations rather than the fictional character you would like to receive. You do not need detailed knowledge of the books or films. This edition follows Mind Indicator’s current 18+ access requirement and is intended for older teens and adults. Responses range from strongly disagree to strongly agree. Think about typical behavior rather than one exceptional moment.
How the match works
This original entertainment quiz contains eight statements per character-inspired pattern, including two reverse-keyed items in each pattern. Each score is the proportion of available points, expressed from 0 to 100. It is not a probability, a percentage of your identity, or a population ranking. The strongest score identifies the leading portrait; equal highest scores are reported as a tie. Scores within five points of the highest are presented as close alternatives. These seven editorial portraits and reading bands are not validated psychological scales. A strong Draco-inspired score describes attention to status and strategy; it does not attribute a fictional character’s harmful actions to you. Likewise, a low Hermione-inspired score does not measure intelligence.
