What helps you learn when something does not come easily?
A new skill can bring curiosity, hesitation, or the urge to prove yourself. The free Growth Mindset Test helps you explore your responses to challenge, feedback, practice, and setbacks. Answer 30 original statements to discover five aspects of your current approach to learning.
You do not have to fit a single label. You might welcome feedback at work yet feel discouraged when learning a language. Your profile makes room for that variation and gives you a practical place to begin.
Take a free 30-question growth mindset quiz
Allow around 5–7 minutes. Think about your experience during the past three months, especially in activities where you have had an opportunity to learn. Rate each statement from strongly disagree to strongly agree. Your basic result shows five scores and a short interpretation free of charge. No purchase is required to see those results.
An optional premium version adds fuller interpretation of every area, reflection prompts, worked examples, and the e-book Learning in Small Steps with a 14-day practice workbook. You can decide after seeing your free profile; current payment terms are shown before purchase.
What is a growth mindset?
Growth mindset describes the belief that abilities can develop. In everyday life, that belief can affect how you approach a difficult task and what you make of an early mistake. Practice is only part of the picture: instruction, feedback, time, rest, and access to resources also matter.
This questionnaire explores the idea through five original reflection themes. It does not reproduce a published research scale or diagnose a fixed personality type. A cautious answer can reflect a difficult environment or a sensible limit, rather than a lack of potential.
Explore five parts of your learning approach
- Belief in learning: How you view the possibility of developing a specific skill.
- Approach to challenge: How you respond to manageable tasks beyond your current comfort.
- Use of feedback: How you turn relevant comments into a concrete learning step.
- Response to setbacks: How you interpret a disappointing attempt and decide what comes next.
- Flexible practice: How you combine effort with planning, support, and changes of approach.
How to read your result
Each area contains six statements. Some describe learning-oriented responses and others describe hesitation or rigidity; those items are scored in the opposite direction. The resulting scores run from 0 to 100. Higher scores mean your answers align more closely with the learning-oriented statements in that area.
The ranges 0–33, 34–66, and 67–100 are editorial reading guides. They are not percentiles, diagnoses, or validated thresholds. Compare your own areas and the situations behind your answers instead of treating the number as a measure of intelligence or worth.

Frequently asked questions
Is this growth mindset test really free?
Yes. Answering the questions and viewing your five scores with brief interpretations is free. The expanded report and e-book are optional premium content.
Does this measure intelligence or predict success?
No. It summarizes your responses about learning situations. It does not assess intelligence, diagnose a condition, or predict your grades, career, or future achievements.
Can I have a different mindset in different areas?
Yes. Think about the situations you had in mind. Your confidence with a familiar skill may differ from your response to a new subject, public performance, or an unsupportive setting.
Does a lower score mean I cannot improve?
No. A lower score points to responses worth exploring. Limited time, safety, health, resources, and previous experiences can affect what feels possible.
Is the questionnaire scientifically validated?
This is an original educational questionnaire informed by mindset research. Its 30 items, five themes, and reading ranges have not undergone psychometric validation. The bibliography provides background, not validation of this test.
What does premium add?
Premium adds detailed explanations, practical next steps, a downloadable report, and Learning in Small Steps, an educational guide with a 14-day workbook. It does not add a clinical diagnosis.
